Seal Court was abuzz with activity on the morning of Oct. 29, with an Alcohol Awareness Carnival put together by the Scripps RA’s. From 11a.m. to 1p.m., anyone visiting Seal Court could take part in the second Annual Carnival’s activities, designed to be fun but also educate and bring awareness about alcohol and its effects and consequences. From guessing signs of alcohol poisoning and learning serving sizes, to trying on beer goggles and attempting to “drunk text” and learning the recovery position, students, faculty and staff walked through various booths. After visiting each booth and completing all the activities, students received a free Yogurtland coupon as a thank-you for participating and were entered into a raffle to win $25 to Trader Joe’s.
